I am accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP).
I have an MA in Psychotherapy from the Karuna Institute. (This included a rigorous 4.5-year training programme). The main focus is on the embodied, relational aspect of psychotherapy. I've been in private practice since 2010.
My background is in theatre, film and music in both the UK and USA, as well as in human rights non-profit work. I have extensive experience of working in high-pressure environments and I understand the increasing challenges of work-life balance and finding the right mode of livelihood. The way we support ourselves can be an expression of our deepest self. Or it can be a source of suffering. Our vocation can nourish us and our compassion for ourselves and others. Or it can be very disruptive.
I enjoy working with people to help identify how they might become more creative and less stuck in their relationships and work. The hope is we become more freed up to make more conscious decisions and take the reins in our life. I work with the loneliness and heart ache that can be experienced when people compromise their true values.
Previously, I have worked as a Psychotherapist in the NHS at a GP surgery in Lambeth, London at a low cost clinic in Clapham, and on an inpatient ward for young adults at the Maudsley Hospital, London.
My psychotherapy practice is in central London (London Bridge, Temple and Kings Cross) . I also offer online sessions to clients based outside of London and internationally.
